Jack White has shared two new songs, “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico.” This weekend he’s performing on Saturday Night Live and it’s a fair bet that he’ll perform one (or both) of the songs on the show. Fittingly Jack Black is hosting SNL this week and it’ll be White’s sixth appearance on the show.

New Jersey-based indie singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sara Abdelbarry debuted under the moniker Teen Idle with her 2020 Insomniac Dreams EP and followed in 2023 with her first full-length album, Nonfiction. Those early indie concoctions were produced, recorded, and performed in Abdelbarry’s basement studio, lending them a scrappy DIY charm, but Abdelbarry’s stylistic horizons have been steadily expanding in the years since.
